A good diver is always learning.  The best next step is to take the Advanced Open Water Course 
at the Aquatic Center in Rochester.  Learn more about diving locally and be better prepared for your next dive vacation.

Advanced Training Starts Today

The Advanced Open Water course is designed to expand your diving skills.  It will not only teach you new skills, but will expose you to several new specialty dive areas.  You can start today, with a simple deposit, collect your text book and begin the reading.  We will set up a brief class and pool session throughout the year.  We do the 5 required open water dives on weekends throughout our dive season.
We also will teach Advanced Classes on our tropical adventure trips.
E-learning is an option if your are planning to do Advanced training dives on your vacation.   Let us set you up with the Advanced E-Learning Code, you can study at home, and dive on your vacation.

What's Involved?

Prerequisites:  PADI Open Water Diver, Jr. Open Water Diver or equivalent.  Must be 12 years old.
Required Dives:  Navigation & Deep Dive
Optional Dives:  The Advanced course is a total of 5 dives.  We find the most popular elective dives are Wreck, Night & Peak Performance Buoyancy.  Substitutions from the Specialty Dive list below are possible. 
Adventure Diver:  Short on time or not yet 12 years old?  You can begin with the Adventure Certification with only three dives required.
Equipment Needs:  As you are now training to be an Advanced Diver, you need to own or rent all the necessary SCUBA equipment.  We can certainly help you make all the right choices to fit your circumstances.
