The
TecRec courses (Discover,
Apprentice and Deep) introduce you to the world of mixed gas
technical diving.
The Discover Tec
experience
lets you try the equipment and perform some of the procedures to
determine your level of interest.
Apprentice Tec teaches you
to make gas switch, extended no-decompression dives using air
and enriched air to 130 feet. You learn how to assemble and
safely operate new technical diving equipment and you learn to prepare for
and respond to foreseeable emergencies that may occur in
technical diving.
 Deep Tec takes you beyond
the Apprentice level into gas-switch decompression dives and accelerated decompression dives using
air and enriched air to a depth of 165 feet. This course also
covers information on the hazards and risks involved in
technical diving, as well as techniques and methods on preparing
for and responding to reasonably foreseeable emergencies that
may occur in technical deep diving.
The
Gas Blender course will
teach you the physical properties of oxygen, its associated
hazards, handling requirements and what cleaning equipment is
necessary. You will learn the five methods of obtaining the
desired enriched air nitrox mix and the various methods used to
obtain proper helium mixes.
These are some of the most intensive
and extensive courses you will take - anything less than
your full, serious attention will not be enough. But, if
this type of diving appeals to you, if your willing to
accept the risks, responsibilities and obligations, and if
you invest in the effort and equipment required, you will find it
one of the most rewarding experiences you'll have in diving. |
